How much room do I need or will a standpipe fit in my small overflow?

This will depend on which size standpipe you wish to use and where your bulkhead is in relationship to the overflow chamber walls. Off center bulkheads have more room for a standpipe than centered bulkheads.

For Durso Standpipes built for 1 inch bulkheads, approximately 5 inches is needed from the back of the tee to the front of the street-ell and two inches width.

For Durso Standpipes built for 1 ½ inch bulkheads, approximately 5 ½ inches is needed from the back of the tee to the front of the street-ell and 2 ¼ inches width.

If you have a small overflow chamber and a Durso Standpipe will physically fit in your chamber, but you think the standpipe will not line upto the bulkhead we offer Durso Standpipes made from flexible PVC to allow enough movement of the pipe to reach the bulkhead.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!

What a difference your pipe made. I have a 180 gallon with 2 holes on the outbound, in the overflow. Before I put in the two Durso standpipes in, it was like having a waterfall in your house 24/7 and now you can barely hear a trickle. Great website, terrific solution.
